Privacy
What Per Te keeps, where it goes, and who can see it. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

The short version. What you add is seen only by the family members you invite. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Nothing is sold or shared for marketing. Your photos are never sent to an AI company. You can download everything, or delete your account, from Settings at any time.
Who runs this
Per Te is made and run by Ad. Astra s.s., an Italian company, for a small number of families. Ad. Astra s.s. is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at info@adastra.fund about anything on this page.
What is kept
Your account
When you sign in with Google or Apple, Per Te receives your name and email address. If you use Apple and choose Hide My Email, we only ever see the private relay address Apple gives us. These are shown to members of your family archive and used to match invitations.
What you add
The memories themselves: notes, titles, dates, place names, how a moment made you feel, photos and voice recordings. Photos are stored as the file you chose, which can include details your camera saved with it, such as the time and place it was taken.
Invitations
When you invite someone, the email address you enter is stored until the invitation is used, revoked or expires.
What is not kept
No analytics, no crash reports, no advertising identifiers, no contacts, no browsing history. Per Te does not ask for your location. It does not include any third-party code that collects information about you.
Who can see it
Only the members of your family archive: you, and the people you have invited who accepted. This is enforced by the database itself, not only by the app, so another family cannot read your archive even with a modified app.
We can technically access the database in order to run it. We do not look at anyone's memories, and would only do so to fix a problem you have asked us about, or if the law required it.
Where it goes
A few services handle parts of this so that the app can work. Each receives only what it needs.
- Supabase stores the database, the photos and the voice recordings, and handles sign-in. It runs on servers operated by Amazon Web Services. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Google and Apple confirm who you are when you sign in, and tell us your name and email.
- Google's Gemini API turns the text of your memories into a form that search can understand, which is what lets you find a memory in words you did not write. Only text is sent: the note, title, place and feelings, never photos or recordings. It goes without your account, your email or which family it belongs to, though anything you typed into a note, including a name, is part of that note. It is used on a paid plan, under which Google does not use the text to train its models.
- BigDataCloud suggests a city name when you add a photo that has a location. The location is rounded to about a kilometre on your phone before anything is sent, and nothing else goes with it. Only the city name is saved.
- A computer we run ourselves reads a reduced copy of each photo, with its hidden details removed, to find any written text in it and to describe what it shows, so that it can be found by search. This runs on that machine; the photo is not sent to any AI company.
- Expo delivers updates to the app. It receives no information about you or your memories.
Some of these services process data outside the European Union, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer relies on the safeguards the GDPR provides for, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Why we are allowed to
We use your information to provide the service you signed up for: keeping your family's memories and letting the people you invite see them. That is the legal basis under the GDPR (Article 6(1)(b)). We do not use it for anything else.
Children
Per Te is for parents and family, not for children to use. It holds memories that adults choose to record about the children in their family, and access to those is limited to the family members they invite. It is not designed to be used by children, and children should not create accounts.
Keeping and deleting
Everything is kept for as long as your account exists, because keeping it is the point.
Download everything you have access to from Settings, then Download all data.
Delete your account from Settings. If you share an archive with someone, you leave it: your photos, voice recordings and feelings are deleted, and memories you wrote stay for them with your name removed. If you are its only member, the whole archive is deleted, with every memory, photo and recording in it.
We keep backups so that an archive is not lost to an accident. Something you delete can remain in a backup until that backup is replaced.
You can also write to us to ask what is held about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to receive a copy in a portable form.
If you think we have handled your information wrongly, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or to the authority where you live.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it, and anything significant will be mentioned in the app.
